FOOD: Vegan Pancakes


Shrove Tuesday is so close I want to cRY, because honestly in terms of amazing days of the year its verging on Christmas. bUT I am also an avid pancake lover all year round, and unfortunately they’re not the most nutritious thing to consume on the regs. So, I recently found a recipe for some healthier pancakes that also save all da animals and rainforests. Bam:

For the pancakes you’ll need:

1 Banana

1 cup/ 240ml almond/soy milk

1.5 cups/ 130g oats

And then simply blend them all together with a blender, until it is the consistency of pancake mix! The pancakes should be american style, so small and thick as opposed to a french style crepe. They also take a long while on a low heat to cook; if you try and cook them quickly they’ll simply burn on the outside and stay raw in the middle! Patience is key with this recipe.

Plus, for a vegan chocolate sauce (not that I’m so committed), you can blend together:

3 dates

1-2 tablespoons of Cocoa Powder

And however much water is needed to get it a good consistency!
